Almost Wordless Wednesday

Someone emailed this picture to my husband at work a couple weeks ago.  This is that little building on top of Mt Spokane.  I think it's used in winter by cross country skiiers (the skiis are a good clue--huh?!).  Didn't look this way the last time I saw it back in October!

Don't you love the birthday hats the girls made?  We all got one!

Reading the birthday cards comes first.  I made this one!

I think it turned out pretty cute!

This is the look of surprise. (I have to define the looks because when I take his picture his expression is usually "deer in the headlights")

He's surprised that we bought him this gift.  It had a pretty price, but I'd saved some money and his super wonderful mom-in-law shared the cost.

Birthdays are for toys...but with his birthday being so close to Christmas we don't get to spread the big ticket items out during the year.  So we have to make it one good one!!

"Ooh...it's my XBOX-360!  Late nights playing my combat infantry games!  No sleep...bags under my eyes...when can I start?  Family? What family?  Oh yeah, thanks honey!  I love you!.....no you can't have a turn!"

The girls are excited too!  Oh man....look at the size of that instruction manual!  Oh, phew!  Most of it's in other languages!

 

Honey, we have birthday cake....can you blow out the candles now?  How about some ice cream before it melts?  Honey, it's homemade?  Look at all the tools I had to pull out just to serve the cake....honey?  Are you there?
