I love fonts...I've posted before about some of my favorite sites for getting free or dirt cheap fonts to add to you computers.  But what fun are fonts if you have nothing to print.  So here are a few quotes that might come in handy for making some inspirational cards.

Unexpected Moments

Well, for those of you who know me as SpokaneMama, I am no longer that person.  I am in the middle of dissolving the partnership I had with the host site in Utah.  The site will still be there (and available for the ownership).  The Utah site is going to continue the weekly newsletter and keep the calendar updated.  If anyone is interested in a great business to work from home, let me know and I can give you contact information.

My unexpected venture into the corporate world taught me one thing...it's impersonal.  I won't do it again.  It helped me discover how much I miss teaching.  And when I told my family that the dissolution would be final soon...they cheered! Now what does that tell you?  Speaks louder than anything else I could tell you.

At the beginning of December I started teaching 1st grade again full time...well except for all the snow days!! LOL!  I'm thinking that homeschooling may have to begin if we have any more days off.  PLEASE OPEN THE SCHOOLS!  aaaagh! Give me 20 or more first graders any day over my own two girls!  It's way easier to get all those 7 year olds to do things than my own 10 and 12 year olds!

So back to my web status change...now that I have all this free time...what free time?  Do moms ever really have free time?  No!  But I'm going to continue my personal blogs.  They are way more fun, free and flexible!  That's what I want...to be flexible like Gumby...a green clay-like creature with buggy white eyes and a fetish for brown clay-like ponies.  Was he the precursor to Mr. Bill?  Ooooh noooo!

But I will continue to keep finding cool and fun things in the Inland Northwest...because I can't help it.  It will just be from my family's perspective.  After all, I'm way too type A to sit in my house and bury my head in the sand.  So sign up for my blog's feed and see what adventures our family discovers in our own back yard!

Spokane makes it onto the Weather Channel!

Nothing like 34 roof collapses to make Spokane notable to the rest of the world!  Here is a link to Weather.com...I was looking for a forecasted end to this snow that is falling heavily this morning...yeah, stop laughing...!  A person can hope for an end can't I?  At least an end to Winter Break for the kids!  They still haven't returned to school.  It's been an additional week off of school for them this year.  Anyway, this was the headline story. They used a KHQ newscaster.
